PostSubject: Staff Guidelines and Information   Fri Aug 14, 2015 5:19 am

I am putting this post here, instead of in the staff lounge, due to the fact that I believe in openness and transparency. The people of Fenix should know the way we do things, and how things should be done. If you see a staff member not following these guidelines, please report it directly to me via ingame mail, or forum mail. Same goes for me as well, and if you see me breaking these guidelines, report it to Owl_Talon or BeeAngel via ingame mail, or forum mail.
We decided long ago that corruption was what breaks servers, and no-one is entirely immune against it. Therefore these guidelines are here not only to help the admins know what to do, but also to set standards for what they should do.

Land Protection:
As a moderator or admin you will be called upon to do land for basically everyone on the server, even including yourself. Here is a step by step tutorial on what to do.
1: Confirm the player has marked out the plot.
2: Get your wooden axe.
3: Teleport to the player. (Can use /tp or /tpa)
4: Use the wooden axe, to left click one corner of the marked out area, and right click the opposite diagonal corner.
5: Verify that the land is not in any city controlled regions by doing /rg info. Note, the staff are not responsible for people protecting too close to each other, there will be rules in place for that. However the staff are responsible for protecting wild land inside a city's borders. On the foundation of a city a 601 by 601 region is created at the city's base, and those are the city borders. Wild land cannot be protected inside these borders after the city has been founded, unless the owner agrees. Note that this step is unnecessary if you are protecting city land already inside a city... as well.. it's city land. xD
6: Do //size.
7: Take the length of the plot, times the width to get the size of the plot. (on doing //size you will see "Size: (Number (Length),Number (Height),Number (Width))"
8: If it's a wild plot claim, take the size of the plot, calculated by length times width, and times it by 100. That will give you the price per tile.
9: Ask the player for the money.
10: Receive the money.
11: Do /payment amount-of-money-received  to pay the money on to the server.
12: Type //expand vertical (This makes the world edit selection from bedrock to sky.)
13: Type /rg define playername-date playername. Playername-date is the name of the region, where you can type the full player name, or only part of it, and then include the date for reference later. The last playername, is where you add the player as an owner of the plot. If you forget to type the last playername in, you can add it in manually by doing /rg addowner region-name player-name.
14: Type /rg priority region-name 2, or 3. If you are protecting a wild plot, then the priority is 2, if you are protecting a city plot, then the priority is 3.
15: Ask the player if he wants mob spawning denied, or pvp denied on his plot. (Note this step is unnecessary in cities, as it will take the city's flag settings anyways.)
16: Do /rg flag region-name pvp deny for the pvp deny flag if requested.
17: Do /rg flag region-name mob-spawning deny for the mob spawning deny flag if requested.
18: Do /rg info region-name to confirm your actions.
19: Go to the forums in this thread, and post the land purchase. http://fenix.forumotion.cc/t203-land-transaction  *VERY IMPORTANT* Do not forget this step.
20: Verify the player's total amount of tiles, and see if he requires an upgrade.
21: Do /rank playername rank-name to rank the player up.
22: You're done.

5: do /payment amount-of-money-received
6: do //expand vertical
7: do /rg define playername-date playername
8: do /rg priority region-name 2
9: do /rg flag region-name pvp deny (If wanted)
10: Do /rg flag region-name mob-spawning deny (If wanted)
11: Do /rg info to verify actions.
